Roy M. Ivins Elected SRMC’s 38th President

ROY M. IVINS ELECTED SRMC'S 38TH PRESIDENT; NEW BOARD MEMBERS ELECTED
NOVEMBER 3, 2021 – At the fall annual meeting of the Society of Risk Management Consultants (SRMC) held on October 8, 2021, in Charleston, South Carolina, Mr. Roy M. Ivins, CPCU, ARM, CIC was elected as the 38th President of the SRMC.
Mr. Ivins is President of RMI Associates, LLC, in Woodbridge, CT. With more than 40 years of risk management and property/ casualty insurance and claims management experience, Mr. Ivins is experienced in managing day‐to‐day risk and insurance issues, solving exposure concerns, and deploying his deep knowledge of the mechanics of insurance policies and placements. He holds the professional designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and is a licensed insurance consultant.
SRMC also elected Mr. Peter J. Murdough, ARM, AU, Senior Consultant at Blades, Crout & Proulx, LLC, Leadville, CO as President-Elect (after serving two years as the Society’s Secretary); and Thomas D. Rosaschi, Esq., CPCU, RPLU, ARM, ARM-E, Senior Consultant at ICA Risk Management Consultants in Mahwah, NJ as Secretary.
Mr. Christopher B. Moss, CPCU, AIC, ARM, President of Compass Risk Services, LLC located in Frisco, TX, will continue to serve on the board in the role of Immediate Past President; and Ms. Lori UsseryActuarial Consultant of SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group, Brentwood, TN will continue as Treasurer.
The Society of Risk Management Consultants is governed by a board of directors, with each director being elected to a two-year term. SRMC elected four members to the Board of Directors this year: Mr. Benjamin C. Few, IV, CPCU, ARM, AAI, Consultant at Ben Few and Company. in Fort Myers, FL; Mr. George W. Erickson, JD, CPCU, LLM, Executive Vice President at Siver Insurance Consultants in St. Petersburg, FL; Ms. Joy M. Gänder, CPCU, ARM, Principal Consultant at Gänder Consulting Group, LLC. in Madison, WI; and Mr. Michael McDaniel, Principal Consultant at Fortress Risk Consultants in Cumming, GA.
Other members continuing to serve on the Board of Directors will be Ms. Jaclyn Davies of Insurance Buyers’ Council, Inc. in Baltimore, MD; Mr. Mark Di Nola, ARM President of RyeRisk Consulting, LLC in Manchester, NH; and Ms. L. Michelle Bradley, Consulting Actuary of SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group, Inc. in Brentwood, TN. The Society also elected Mr. David Stegall, CPCU, ARM, ARe, RPA, Principal Consultant at Risk Consulting & Expert Services, Birmingham, AL to fill the vacancy caused by the election of Mr. Rosaschi to the office of Secretary.
The Society recognized the service of directors whose terms expired this year: Mr. Arthur J. Proulx, President of Blades, Crout & Proulx LLC in Leadville, CO; and Mr. C. Todd Thomas, ALCM, ARM, ARM-P, CPCU, CRA, FRM, LL.B, MBA, RF, Chief Consultant at Sigma Risk Management Consulting in New Orleans, LA.
