Peter J. Murdough Elected SRMC’s 39th President

PETER J. MURDOUGH ELECTED SRMC’S 39TH PRESIDENT; NEW BOARD MEMBERS ELECTED
OCTOBER 25, 2022 – At the fall annual meeting of the Society of Risk Management Consultants (SRMC) held on October 6, 2022, in London, United Kingdom, Mr. Peter J. Murdough, ARM, AU was elected as the 39th President of the SRMC.
Mr. Murdough is a Senior Consultant at Blades, Crout & Proulx, LLC, headquartered in Leadville, CO. Pete has more than 20 years of risk and insurance experience. Starting his career as a credit risk manager, he then made the transition into insurance in 2005, and in 2012 moved into his current role with Blades, Crout & Proulx. Pete’s work focuses on contract reviews, detailed policy analysis, and negotiating terms and conditions on behalf of his clients. Pete holds the professional designations of Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU). Originally from Burlington, VT, and a graduate of the University of Vermont, Pete is an avid runner, golfer, gardener, and homebrewer, and he resides in Bucks County, PA with his wife and two sons.
SRMC also elected Ms. Lori UsseryActuarial Consultant of SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group, Brentwood, TN as President-Elect (after serving two years as the Society’s Treasurer); and Mr. Benjamin C. Few, IV, President at Ben Few & Company in Fort Myers, FL as Treasurer.
Mr. Roy Ivins of RMI Associates, LLC, in Woodbridge, CT will continue to serve on the board in the role of Immediate Past President; and Mr. Thomas D. Rosaschi, Esq., CPCU, RPLU, ARM, ARM-E, Senior Consultant at ICA Risk Management Consultants in Mahwah, NJ as Secretary.
The Society of Risk Management Consultants is governed by a board of directors, with each director being elected to a two-year term. SRMC elected four members to the Board of Directors this year: Ms. Jaclyn Davies of Insurance Buyers’ Council, Inc. in Baltimore, MD; Mr. Christopher Moss, CPCU, ARM, AIC, President of Compass Risk Services, LLC in Frisco, TX; Mr. Mark Di Nola, ARM President of RyeRisk Consulting, LLC in Manchester, NH; and Mr. David Stegall, CPCU, ARM, ARe, RPA, Principal Consultant at Risk Consulting & Expert Services, Birmingham, AL.
The Society also elected Mr. Esequiel Nathal, ARM, Senior Consultant at Compass Risk Services, LLC in Frisco, TX to fill the vacancy caused by the election of Mr. Few, IV to the office of Treasurer.
Other members continuing to serve on the Board of Directors will be Mr. George W. Erickson, JD, CPCU, LLM, Executive Vice President at Siver Insurance Consultants in St. Petersburg, FL; Ms. Joy M. Gänder, CPCU, ARM, Principal Consultant at Gänder Consulting Group, LLC in Madison, WI; and Mr. Michael McDaniel, Principal Consultant at Fortress Risk Consultants in Cumming, GA.
The Society recognized the service of directors whose terms expired this year: Ms. L. Michelle Bradley, Consulting Actuary of SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group, Inc. in Brentwood, TN.
During the annual meeting, three (3) life memberships were awarded to long-standing members who have had a direct impact on the success of the SRMC over the past years. Those members are Mr. Benjamin C. Few, III at Ben Few & Company, Inc. in Fort Myers, FL; Mr. Robert Bernens at Core Risk Services, Inc. in Oldenburg, IN; and Mr. Peter Hildebrand at Peter Hildebrand, LLC in Alpharetta, GA.
