The Genesis of Risk Management Consulting Recognized by Risk & Insurance ® The Society of Risk Management Consultants takes great pride in its heritage and is forever grateful to the pioneers of truly independent risk management consulting. For that reason, we were genuinely pleased when Risk & Insurance® chose to publish two articles about some of our industry’s oldest firms all of which have had principals belonging to our organization or one of its predecessor organizations. The practice of independent risk management consulting dates back to the late 1800s and the Society of Risk Management Consultants is indebted to the individuals who dedicated themselves to serving only the interests of their clients.
